I'll be the first to admit, I don't like dressing up during summer. With temperatures reaching high into the 90's, the last thing I think anyone wants to do is walk around in too-tight shorts and layers of jewelry. Hence- big t-shirts becoming a trend. But on those occasions where slipping into something nicer comes along, I thought I'd bring you a summer look-book of outfits that combine some of my favorite '19 trends.
the 'industrial' look
The key to this look is accessorizing. The belt (Amazon), hair barrettes (Target), and chunky hoops (Urban Outfitters), were all fairly cheap pieces that brought this outfit together. Dont underestimate the small things is what I guess I'm trying to get at.
the 'chic' look
If you've been into this recent scarf/bandana/hankercheif trend as much as I have, you'll understand why I love this outfit as much as I do. While I came across this specific top at Zara, I've seen plenty of people use large bandanas to accomplish this look. But anyway, you should try it sometime. That is all.
the 'western' look
I know that the whole 'see through top' thing is a second old, but I thought it worked well for this outfit so here we are. What makes any outfit western, or at least heading in that direction, could be either a scarf around the neck, wavy hair, or maybe some cool shades.
And with that, I hope you got some inspiration for the next time your friends want to head over to Zilker, or you just feel like lookin' fancy.
