Thrifting 101

Over the years, I've found myself shopping more often at thrift stores like Buffalo Exchange and Goodwill than anywhere else. Although each time you go thrifting is different, I've found that as long as I have some sort of idea of what I'm looking for, I'll end up successful. Here are a few suggestions of what to look for when you go:

A Bold Pair of Shoes

One thing thrift stores typically have is cool shoes, which are perfect to pair with a simple outfit. For $20 I was able to snag some embroidered boots. With them, a threw on a tee, dress, and black belt.

Some Big Tees

Whether you're looking to crop them or wear them long, thrift stores are a gold mine when it comes to large graphic tees.

A Pair of Mom Jeans

Lastly, I tend to look for mom jeans or any cool pants. Good quality brands like Levi can commonly be found in thrift stores for much cheaper than a new pair off their website. I love to pair them with a graphic tee or plain tee for a casual look.

Hopefully, these outfits and suggestions give you some inspiration to try something new! And if you ever find yourself stuck at a thrift store, try taking a step back, seeing things with an open mindset.
